When it comes to painting landscapes, I love the energy exchange between nature and my paintbrush. Nature's many moods, like our emotions, shift and change, seeking expressing and balance. Trees stand tall, fearless as they reach for the sky. Clouds renew and reinvent themselves in alignment with invisible forces. I  call these links between the  invisible and visible worlds figments. Painting nature renews my faith in the natural order of life. 

In all their sparkling beauty, these icicles could symbolize what's holding us back, like the bars of a cage blocking access to the freedom of the blue sky beyond. Shift focus and look at all the open spaces between. What does it take to dissolve limiting beliefs and risk exploration of wide-open possibilities? It takes faith. It takes Qi.
